Anderson High School students and staff are working hard throughout the year to produce their hard copy yearbook for the 2025-2026 school year. They are all excited to make memories that will last a lifetime. With the new yearbook set to be published in May, everybody is eagerly waiting to see the final outcome. Wil Foster, the yearbook teacher, has a new vision for the yearbook.
“We have not settled on an actual theme yet, but we are nearing what we are seeking,” said Foster. The theme will be history-focused and honoring the 150th graduating class. Foster emphasized the importance of including student stories and experiences, “We want to have a historical, but we also want to go back to the students. We’re very focused on students and things about them, stories, personal things, highlighting the senior years, and things like that.”

I asked about the disparity between a traditional and electronic yearbook, Foster said, “The physical yearbook is just what people want. It’s something you can hold, something you can give to your kids, something you can keep. It’s a record of history really.” Financial constraints are the primary concern Foster explained, “Most likely the budget. They want to do some really great things, and we just don’t have the budget to do it.”
To combat this, the yearbook staff will sell senior ads in force priced low enough to make it so that students can participate. Foster explained, “We want to make them affordable enough that someone can do that and then anyone that gets a senior ad gets their own retake photo with us and they can do it however they want.” With student stories and history being highlighted, the yearbook will be a memory no one will ever forget for students and alumni.
