Anderson High School has several ambitious players this year. Here at Anderson High School, I Interviewed two players that are on the team. I talked with a freshman , Bryson Schott and a sophomore , Kaiden Mcgonile. Here’s what they had to say.
Mcgonile is on the varsity football team at AHS. Mcgonile said he doesn’t do much in his free time but play sports. Mcgonile said that football meant a lot to him and makes him happy. He said he plans on going to college after graduation.
I asked what college you plan on going to. He said multiple but he said the first on the list right now is Notre Dame. His reasons are that it’s close to home, it has a great football program and that he looks forward to going against the best and making the team better.
In recent games, Mcgonile said some challenges for the team were getting past the offensive line. “We watch film and see our mistakes and what we did wrong,” Mcgonile said.
Schott said he likes to hangout with friends in his free time. Schott doesn’t like school very much. He said it’s a place where he’s “forced to be for 8 hours.”
Schott said football is a “fun sport and where I could work and get the rewards.” He relies on his teammates often in practices and games. “They are understanding and, when I don’t understand something, they help me to.” Schott did not play in the recent scrimmage game because of a leg injury. However, he is still committed to watching game films, practicing hard, and getting better.
