As the 2025 school year is getting closer to the end some students and staff may have some built up emotions throughout the school year. Seniors have proven to have different built up emotions by not coming to school, not doing their work, or maybe they want to come to school more. They’ve been through 13 years of school and now time is passing by and coming to an end.
AHS student Kennedy Brown explains her emotions as a 2025 senior. “It’s sad, it really is sad, but at the same time it’s relieving to be able to go through four years and now I’m done, now I’m about to go to college and start a new beginning, so it’s bittersweet.”

As many seniors may have different opinions on how they feel about the 2025 school year ending everyone still has some type of emotion.
“I feel so good,” another student, Alaria Tellis, says. “Like, I hate school, waking up early in the morning, and all the work. It ‘s so amazing it’s coming to an end.” Tellis said.
As the school year is ending, many students tend to struggle or don’t want to do their work because they are just ready to get out of school for good.
“Procrastination, trying to get my work done at the last minute, waking up in the morning, I’m not really a morning person so that was hard for me and studying for tests and quizzes. I hate studying.” Brown explained
With the school year ending and a new one beginning, not only do we have the 2025 seniors leaving but we have the 2029 freshman entering AHS.

“Be prepared for all the crazy stuff that will come at you because this is no joke, the school work is hard and you don’t want to get behind,” Tellis explained
Coming into high school there are a lot of challenges. It may be easier for some and a lot harder for others.
“Stay on top of work, don’t procrastinate and get your work done.” Brown said.
As many students are attending colleges or even trade schools after high school there are some other students who have a different view when it comes to their plans after high school.
“I will not be going to college, why would I want to go right back to school after I get out of school? I’m just happy to be done.” Tellis said.
After high school many may have future plans like going to college, starting a new job or even working at a factory. “ I will be attending Spalding University for athletics and academics.” Brown said.
