The late 90’s/ early 2000’s is one of the best times for rock/metal music and these three bands show it. I’ve listened to them since I was a kid and they have all stood the test of time and aced it.

Number 3 System Of A Down

The vocalist Serj Tankian of S.O.A.D is very talented, being able to do very harmonic singing followed by very aggressive screaming or yelling. S.O.A.D has five platinum awards with their album System of a down having two, Toxicity having one, Steal This Album! Having one, and Mezmerize having one. Although Hypnotize does not have one it is just as commercially successful as the others. S.O.A.D earned their spot on my list by how engaging their music is and how good their storytelling is and the topics they make music about.

Number 2 Three Days Grace

Three Days Grace is a very engaging band making music with very aggressive and very harmonic at the same time music with amazing vocals and instruments, the guitar is very distinct and aggressive at time but can also be slow and symphonic, the drums are very loud and in your face at times while also not being the main focus of the songs, the bass is everything you would want from a bass without overshadowing the other instruments and vocals., every note they play has a meaning behind it. Three days grace is a very successful band with their albums One-x having three platinums, Life starts now having four platinums and Three Days Grace having three. Three days grace deserves this spot on my list because they make music almost anybody would like.

Number 1 Godsmack

Godsmack is a very diverse band with aggressive songs like I stand alone and other calmer songs such as voodoo. Godsmack is also commercially successful with their albums Awake having two platinum’s, Faceless having one and

godsmack having five. Godsmack is a staple of my childhood and has always been one of my favorite bands and always will be.

I would say take some time and listen to them if you haven’t, you won’t regret it.
