According to notorious Nintendo leaker ‘Natthehate’ and British newsletter the Video Game Chronicles, two brand new games are slated to release this year for the Nintendo Switch 2. Fans speculate that a brand new Star Fox game would be slated for this summer, a remake of The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time would be slated at the end of the year during the holidays, and a new 3D Mario game that is slated for a 2027 release window.
Senior Joe Orbik is a massive Nintendo fan who looks into Nintendo leaks and rumors constantly. While Orbik thinks a new 3d Mario game and the OOT game would be interesting and good for the Switch 2, he believes that a new Star Fox game for the Switch 2 would be unlikely. “I doubt Nintendo would be having a new Star Fox game in the works, especially because the Switch 2 is struggling on the fact that it does not have many exclusives for it”.
According to Gamespot, the Switch 2 sales were forecasted to make 19 million dollars by the end of March. As of late it is mid April and there have been no reports on the current Switch 2 sales. Compared to the original Nintendo Switch with 155.37 million units sold as of Feb. 3, the Switch 2 has been struggling to live up to the high expectations the original Switch has set.
